Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust is a registered charity delivering premier leisure provision across fifteen venues in Doncaster, offering a diverse range of health, fitness, leisure and entertainment activities to achieve a healthier community.
The Trust also has a training arm DCLT Training Academy who deliver training in a number of areas including leisure, health, fitness, outdoor activities and corporate hospitality.
Formerly known as Doncaster Dome Leisure Trust, DCLT’s primary role was to manage the day to day operation of the Doncaster Dome Leisure Centre.
After 2 years of discussions and hard work between Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, Dearne Valley Leisure Trust and DCLT, approval was granted in January 2011 for Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust to be expanded. From 1st April 2011, the trust now consists of 9 former DMBC managed centres, Dearne Valley Leisure Centre and Rossington Community Sports Village, based on the grounds of Rossington All Saints School.
From the 1st September 2012, DCLT is now operating the gym at the Keepmoat Stadium, which will be known as the Fitness Village, Stadium.
In late 2012, DCLT added the former Fitness First site in Balby to its portfolio of Choose Fitness gyms. Finally in 2014 DCCE, Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trusts catering trading arm Doncaster Catering Conferences and Events took over the operations at the Leopard pub in Doncaster town centre to bring the total number of venues to 14.
Presently DCLT is focused on re-investing into each venue to deliver new and exciting facilities/products to the people of Doncaster. Adwick is currently the latest centre to be refurbished and improved with the addition of an 8 lane bowling alley, soft play area, American diner and a state of the art Choose Fitness gym. The development will continue with additions of a improved car pack and improvements to the changing facilities in the swimming pool.
